My journey as a successful real estate developer began in 1985 on Chicago’s Northside, acquiring and rehabbing numerous properties. Within a short time, I built several new construction lofts and mixed-use projects in Lincoln Park and Bucktown.

Upon closely studying the needs of small businesses, the year 2000 found me deeply committed to the innovation and creation of highly functional, yet aesthetically pleasing office spaces, much like those I had designed and built for my own company and several others. My research and evaluation of what was available at that time for smaller companies motivated me to explore the almost unheard of possibility of providing attractive, functional and budget-practical office space and executive quality suites.

Traditionally, smaller office spaces were drab, over-priced, under-resourced commercial “tenements” managed by owners and staff interested in “nickel an diming” their tenants for copies, faxes, meeting support, reception service, etc. Along with my vision of providing attractive, affordable office space, I also decided to work with my tenant –clients to help them flourish in my professional, attractive environment.

This dream became reality when an opportunity became available at 1363 Shermer. I saw it as the perfect location for a new office suite building. An office building that tenants would be proud to call their “business home”.
